I have recently accepted the fact that I can’t keep every single item of clothing that the girls have ever worn. As sentimental as I may be, I have to accept the fact that Neve is, (unless anything significant changes!), my last baby, and as such, the hoards and hoards of beautiful girls clothing I have kept in the loft ‘just in case’, finally needs to go.

I am also aware that I am incredibly lucky to have been in a position where I have been able to give the girls a very generous wardrobe in their early years! There are many Mothers in a very different position to me – those who struggle to buy all the items required for their new additions, and for whom, clothing can be an expensive necessity for their children.

This Mother’s Day, Mothercare are doing something about it with their #GiftABundle campaign. This is such a fantastic idea, and one that I hope a lot of us can get behind!

The idea is very simple. Pop in to one of the participating branches of Mothercare and pick up a Bundle Bag. Fill it up with 6-10 items of good quality, outgrown clothing for children aged 0-3 years, using the cards within to outline the age/gender the contents is suitable for. Then simply pop the bag back to one of the Drop Off stations before the 25th March.

The gifts provided by participating stores will then be used to support local Mums from community groups. A Mother’s Day treat from one Mum to another if you will.

I have filled up a couple of bags ready to drop off to the store today, and hope that my little bundle can make another Mum smile this Mother’s Day! 🙂
