It is very rare these days that I get to have a bit of ‘me time’. I have very very long hair – and as a result, it is tied back in a “messy hair don’t care” bun the majority of the time. Something I promised myself for 2017 was that I would invest a little bit more in myself, so every so often, my other half takes the kids downstairs, and I have a well earned bath, before blow drying and straightening my hair. Tonight I am off to a press event in Birmingham, so today was the perfect day to test out my new Lee Stafford CoCo Loco Irons which I have been sent to review.

About the Product

The Lee Stafford CoCo LoCo Irons are  part of a wider range of Lee Stafford electrical hair products.

The ceramic plates are infused with coconut oil to keep your hair looking sleek, smooth, and shiny and protect your hair as you straighten. Suitable for all hair types, the irons can be set at temperatures between 120 and 200 degrees.

With a rounded curve design, the CoCo LoCo irons can be used to create sleek smooth styles or flicks and curls.

Other features include an LED temperature display, fast heat up, and lockable plates.

The styler comes with a 2 year guarantee and has an RRP of £50, although is currently on offer on Amazon for £24.99.

My experience

Anyone who has ever tried to photograph themselves straightening their hair will know that its no easy feat, and there is a very good reason why I am a parenting blogger and not a beauty blogger!!

I have created a little vlog of me testing the product which is the easiest way to see it in action. Check out my review below!

Pros:

  • Quick heat up time.
  • Lockable irons making them easy to store once cool.
  • Adjustable heat settings from 120-200 degrees.
  • Attractive colour and design.
  • Good value for money

Cons:

  • Would have loved an audible sound that alerts you when the product is turned on (or indeed left on) so that it was clearer than just the LED display.
  • Slightly slower to straighten than GHDs but a FAR cheaper alternative for similar effects.

*Disclosure – I was sent these irons free of charge in exchange for my honest review, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.*
