Neve is now 6 months old, and loves nothing more than to play and discover the world around her! She wants to touch and explore absolutely everything – reaching out to feel textures, and responding well to bright colours and sounds.

When we were given the opportunity to road test some of the brand new Jonathan Adler Fisher-Price baby toys, we jumped at the chance – they looked fantastic.

The Products

There are four main products in the Jonathan Adler range as follows:-

Fisher-Price Monkey Mirror

Making tummy time fun, this portable mirror opens up to create just the right angle for your baby to see their reflection, whilst interacting with the sensory features such as the crinkle panel, the squeaky monkey and the jingle parrot. The Monkey Mirror can be folded flat for easy storage, making it perfect for playtime on the go. RRP £19.99..

Neve responded really well to this, despite not being a huge fan of tummy time. She also like to sit and lean forward on her hands, and found it very funny when she could look into the mirror and see my smile in her vantage point! I love the fact that it folds flat and can be popped into the changing bag and velcros together like a large book. It is always useful to have some source of entertainment for Neve when we visit family and this is the perfect toy for that.

Fisher-Price Activity Alligator

This super soft alligator features fantastic sensory fabrics such as corduroy, crinkles and plush to boost your baby’s senses. With lots of dangling toys making clacking and rattle sounds, there are lots of features for your little one to explore. The Alligator also includes a clip so that he can be attached to your baby’s pushchair or car seat. RRP £12.99

Neve has properly fell in love with her alligator, and you can see she is fascinated by the different textures and the way they feel under her fingers. She enjoys grabbing and stroking him, as well as pulling him in for a cuddle and chew! 🙂 Clipping this on to her carseat is great if we are expecting a slightly longer journey, as I can see in the car mirror that she is engaging with him and shaking him so he crinkles whilst we travel.

Fisher-Price Activity Elephant

This large elephant toy is the biggest item in the range – super soft and again features a range of textures including corduroy, crinkle and knit. He has lots of hidden surprises, including a mirror behind his ear, and makes fun jingle sounds when shook, as well as a rattle and dangling butterfly. Features a clip so that he can be attached to your baby’s pushchair or car seat. RRP £12.99

The Elephant is slightly bigger than the others and as such we tend to play with him at home or in the garden. Neve enjoys playing with the elephant whilst she is sitting up, as opposed to lying down, as when on her back she tends to cover her entire face with him by accident!! When siting up, she leans forward and interacts with the dangling butterfly and rattle. Again I love the different fabrics and the fact he is so soft to the touch.

Fisher-Price Signature Style Pegs

For a smaller toy, we love the colourful Monkey Rattle, with soft arms and a clip so he can be popped on to a pushchair or car seat. This friendly faced Monkey makes subtle rattle sounds when the beads inside his tummy are moved or shook. RRP £4.99.

Sometimes its great to have a tiny toy that is perfect for on the go, and despite being small in stature, the Monkey Rattle was a big hit with Neve. She seems fascinated by the little beads in his tummy, and loves to pull on his soft arms and tail.

Overall, both Neve and I loved the new products from Fisher-Price. A little bit different from the average baby toy, the bold colours, prints and patterns are really fresh and modern. Whilst bright, they are not garish or intrusive in a modern home. They are all suitable from birth, and are available from a number of retailers including Argos, Amazon and Smyths.

Selected products from the Jonathan Adler Fisher-Price Range are available here and Amazon here.

Disclosure – we were sent a number of items from the Jonathan Adler range free of charge in exchange for this review, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.*
