Hump Day Linky 25/10

Welcome back to Hump Day Linky and thanks for joining me on my weekly linky to celebrate Hump Day – the middle of the week, and the downhill journey to the weekend!

Last week we had a fantastic night at Disney on Ice Passport to Adventure – the girls both loved meeting Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and although they were both extremely tired the next day it was worth every second!

This week we are getting super excited about Halloween, and are looking forward to our party at the weekend!

This week my posts are about the small step in the right direction that is the Parental Bereavement Leave Bill, and a my preparations for a new family Christmas Tradition – Elves Behavin’ Badly.

So, on to the linky…..

My favourite two posts from last week were from

CubKit’s What is causing my toddlers’ tantrum – let’s face it, the majority have been there- usually in public, and usually when we least expect it. My worst personal experience was the day my toddler made me cry, closely followed by her public meltdown in French Connection of all places! *cringe*

and

Kate on thin Ice with her Butternut Squash Soup recipe – I am always looking for some classic winter warmer recipes now that the nights are drawing in, and this one is perfect!

Welcome back to Hump Day Linky and thanks for joining me on my weekly linky to celebrate Hump Day – the middle of the week, and the downhill journey to the weekend!

The last week has passed by in a bit of a blur. 2 weeks into my new job and I am still yet to get into a rhythm of nursery and school drop offs… hopefully it will come with time! I am also BROKE – roll on payday!!!

My posts this week are about preparing for our Christmas wishlist with Smyths Toys Superstore and my thoughts on the Mumsnet Family Friendly survey… would love to know your thoughts.

My favourite two posts from last week were from

Crummy Mummy’s To the Man Who Parks in Parent and Child Parking Bays – I have seen so many people guilty of this and it really gets my goat!!!

and

Tactical Mummy’s Crafty Mummy post – this is a really funny post, and something I am sure a lot of us can relate to with our pinterest fails!! πŸ™‚

Hump Day Linky 20/9

Welcome back to Hump Day Linky and thanks for joining me on my weekly linky to celebrate Hump Day – the middle of the week, and the downhill journey to the weekend!

This week is a massive change for this household! Today is my first day back at work andΒ I say Goodbye to Maternity Leave after 13 long and wonderful months. I think Neve in particular is going to find it a MASSIVE shock to the system (as am I!!!) but we will all get used to it in time. I hope!! This week also marks the countdown to BlogOn Xmas and I can not wait – my first ever blogging conference with big thanks to my sponsor Onlookr.

My favourite two posts from last week were from:

Crummy Mummy and her post about surviving the summer holidays! I’m sure a LOT of us can relate to this one!!

and

Thirsty Daddy with his post about superheroes that ‘look like’ his daughter – sad to hear that the gender neutral message hasn’t totally hit home yet!

Welcome back to Hump Day Linky and thanks for joining me on my weekly linky to celebrate Hump Day – the middle of the week, and the downhill journey to the weekend!

This week we have had a poorly Neve – her first inevitable sickness bug since starting nursery but Neve being Neve, she always takes ages to recover from anything involving food and sickness, so everything hangs around just that little bit more than with the average child! Today is Erin’s first official day at school. so I am feeling a huge emotional wreck! She did really well at her taster session so fingers crossed she will love it!

So, on to the linky…..

My favourite two posts from last week were from:

Mummy to Twindividuals and her observations around the Holiday Habits we’d rather didn’t form! This happens to us every single holiday time and it takes a while to get back to normal!

and

School Run Shop – with this helpful School Checklist – of things to do before, during and after that big first day!

Welcome back to Hump Day Linky and thanks for joining me on my weekly linky to celebrate Hump Day – the middle of the week, and the downhill journey to the weekend!

Last week we had Erin’s preschool leaver’s assembly and I was amazed that I managed to hold back the tears. Instead of sobbing my heart out I just felt immense pride in my daughter who sang wonderfully and danced with all her friends. This week is our Mother / Daughter date week – a week of fun activities with just me and her, and the first day today was fantastic. I’d forgotten what an amazing spirit she has!! πŸ™‚ I’m looking forward to the rest of the week before that first journey to school next Tuesday!!! *Sob*

My favourite two posts from last week were from:

Tactical Mummy and her post pointing out how Breastfeeding and Blogging have LOTS of similarities! I can relate to nearly all of these!!

and

TippyTupps with her guide of Places to Look for Work – if you’ve been out of work for a while or atΒ home raising your family,Β it can be daunting knowing where to start. This is a really useful starting point.

We are running all through the summer holidays, so whilst it may be a bit quieter than usual I hope you continue to come and join us! πŸ™‚

Welcome back to Hump Day Linky and thanks for joining me on my weekly linky to celebrate Hump Day – the middle of the week, and the downhill journey to the weekend!

This week Neve has been back at nursery – we are still getting lots of tears and I am finding it quite tough but we will get there! Erin has her last day at Preschool tomorrow and we have her leavers assembly. I am mentally preparing for lots of tears (from me of course!!!)
