As a Mum to two daughters, our family has been through our fair share of parenting milestones, from establishing strong bedtime routines (after crying my way through hundreds of sleepless nights), transitioning from a cot to a big girl bed, bath time, potty training, weaning and dental hygiene to name but a few. At the time, each one feels like a huge mountain of a challenge and as a new Mum, I was always actively seeking advice from others who had been through it to help us all adapt to the next phase. After each milestone was met, the inevitable next challenges would follow on the never ending rollercoaster that is motherhood!

One of their toys the girls have grown up with, they have both absolutely loved their BABY Born dolls and their adorable range of accessories.

To help parents and children with their many milestones, BABY Born have recently teamed up with iChild to create educational resources for their little ones, with a particular focus on personal hygiene, bath and bedtime routines. With their supporting range of Baby Born bath time products, parents can use these BABY Born ichild resources alongside play to encourage conversations and support children’s toilet training and washing skills as they grow up.

There are lots of BABY born resources that are completely free to download including a potty training reward chart, certificates and bedtime routine cards; all of which are great visual tools to help reinforce positive messages.

Baby Born Milestone Accessories

BABY born have a great range of dolls and accessories that make the ideal role play accessory for supporting your child’s development milestones; a selection of which are highlighted below.

We have previously reviewed the BABY born toothcare spa, an educational and fun playtime accessory that reinforces the message of washing and dental hygiene. Now more than ever conversations about germs and hand washing are really important. and this working sink is a great way to demonstrate this whilst asking BABY Born to wash hers too.

The adorable toothcare spa set comes with a working sink and towel and a buzzing toothbrush; where children can practice their tooth brushing technique before they go and polish their own!

Potty training is another huge milestone and for this one, getting your child familiar with the prospect of the potty and toilet; whilst introducing big girl pants and providing praise and reward. The BABY born Bath Poo-Poo toilet is no ordinary potty, and is a great way to start those toilet training discussions.

This interactive toilet with lid and flush includes sounds effects and rainbow glitter poop. Pop your BABY born doll on the toilet and you will hear her go for a wee, followed by a round of applause.

When the rainbow glitter poop lands in the toilet, you can press the flush and it magically disappears (flipping over to hide the poop).

By getting your child more familiar with the toilet and how it works, you can start those first steps towards ditching the nappies for good!

To help support their progress, the Baby BORN Toilet Training Reward Chart can be used to offer visual incentives and rewards they learn to use the potty or toilet for the first time

You can even print off a certificate to celebrate their successes in washing their hands and remembering to practice good hygiene.

Finally, the BABY Born Bath Tub with working shower is a great way to talk about the bath and bedtime routine.

With a real working shower, children will love washing their BABY born doll clean, before drying her with a towel and snuggling up in her dressing gown before bed.

I think the new BABY born resources at iChild are a creative and fun way to help our children navigate through their milestones and can help reinforce messages in a fun and light hearted way.
