Have you set resolutions or goals for 2018? If you have, you won’t be alone! Research has shown that around half of us set resolutions at the start of a new year, but unfortunately, only a third of them make it past the end of the first month. By now, the middle of January, many of us are struggling to keep them up, waning in our enthusiasm, or at the very least, starting to flex the rules ever so slightly as the day to day reality of our goals starts to hit home!
Here at Real Mum Reviews, we have the perfect guide and giveaway to help – a HUGE competition where one lucky winner will win a bundle of New Year New You items worth over £300 – the perfect tool to keep you on track with your resolutions and ensure that 2018 is your happiest and healthiest year yet!
Whatever your resolution, whether it be to eat more healthily, get more sleep, do more exercise or simply take more time to relax and unwind, we have something for everyone, and one lucky winner will win every single item!
Check out what you can win below!
Resolution 1: Get More Exercise
Whatever form your exercise takes this year, it’s recommended that you don’t take yourself too seriously. This “After This We’re Getting Pizza” water bottle (worth £16.99) from Prezzybox is sure to raise some laughs at the gym or for your runs round the local park! This humorous water bottle holds 24 ounces of water and is the perfect way to stay hydrated as you burn off all those Quality Street. Following it’s advice when I get home is one thing I am definitely able to stick to!! 😉
Wearing a great outfit to the gym can be a fantastic motivator, and makes getting yourself out there just that little bit more fun. These fab vest tops from TruffleShuffle are perfect for the gym, and just the motivation to get your workout back on track whether it be running, a session at the gym, or a more holistic yoga or body balance class! Make like Mr Strong and Wake Up, Work Out, (worth £14.99) or reveal your inner Wonder Woman. (worth £9.99)
Resolution 2: Eat More Healthily
If your resolution was to eat more healthily, some of these fab gadgets can help your diet get back on track, giving you just the motivation you need to try something new, eat more fruit and veg, or reduce your calorie intake.
The SMART Master Bullet Blender from FindmeaGift.com (worth £59.99!) is the perfect way to get more of the good stuff into your diet, and will have your veg chopped/fruit juiced in 10 seconds or less, thanks to its Cyclonic Cutting Zone process. This cutting region circulates food with so much force and speed, that it makes blending a doddle! You can make humus, dips, pulp-free smoothies, soups, and even a cocktail or three (or brighten up those Virgin Cocktails if you’re doing Dry January!)
Air Fryers are a great way of cooking healthier meals without the fat. The Von Shef Digital Air Fryer (worth £57.99) will deliciously fry, roast and bake your favourite foods, cooking food faster using little or no oil – helping your consume less fat and calories! We have to allow ourselves the odd treat occasionally, but cook your chips in this, and you are helping yourself avoid unnecessary additional calories! 🙂 Domu have a range of healthy air fryers available to suit every lifestyle.
Resolution 3: Get More Sleep
The Lumie Bodyclock Active 250 (worth £99) is the refreshing way to wake up. It’s effective for healthy sleep (via light therapy and using a tailored wake up to ensure optimum waking times), sports training and energy at work.
Not only can the Lumie Bodyclock help you get a better nights sleep, but ensure that when you do wake up, you do so in a more natural and less disruptive fashion, leaving you feeling more refreshed and motivated for exercise or training, and making sleeping and waking easier in the days that follow.
Resolution 4: More ‘Me Time’
Making more time for me was high up on my personal list of resolutions for 2018. As a Mum of 2, it’s rare that I do any kind of self care, and this year that has to change.
This Health Club Day Pass for Two from Findmeagift.com (worth £19.99) provides the perfect opportunity to get some much needed me time – taking advantage of state of the art exercise facilities whilst enjoying some much-needed relaxation – perfect for couples or best friends who may both have the resolution of relaxing, de-stressing or pampering in 2018.
With 30 different locations across the UK, there are plenty of health clubs to choose from you can choose one convenient for you. The facilities vary between clubs, but generally include a steam room, Jacuzzi, sun beds, beauty salon and sauna. There is also usually a swimming pool, fully equipped gym and a studio which will allow visitors to enjoy their favourite form of exercise as well.
For those after a bit of self care time – This 100% pure De-stress and unwind wellbeing git set (worth £19.99) contains some herbal helpers to assist the nervous system in relaxing, and help to combat stress. The Chamomile tea is a gentle sedative and can be drank before bed to promote a good night sleep. It’s also relaxing to the digestion and adrenal glands so can be enjoyed throughout the day too. The essential oil blend is balancing, cleansing and uplifting and can be added to a hot bath, whilst the massage oil can be rubbed on neck, shoulders, lower back if you can find a willing volunteer! 🙂
I find bathtime (minus kids and plastic ducks!) the perfect way to relax and distress. The perfect accessory for your relaxing soak in the tub are these colour changing spa lights from Prezzybox (worth £7.99) which change from blue, red and green helping release stress and tension from a busy day. Attach them to the side of your bath, let them float on top of the water or position them around the room for a truly sensory experience.
