5 Fun Dating Ideas for Autumn

We’re waving goodbye to Summer, and it wont’ be long until the nights are drawing in and the days of picnic dates, chilling out at the beach and strolling hand in hand bare foot in the sea go out the window. It’s going to get dark, cold and autumnal pretty soon, meaning it is time to shake up your dating ideas for Autumn, and think outside the box a little in order to find some fun dating ideas that fit with the change of the seasons.

If you find yourself single at this time of year, Autumn can be a great time to meet new singles with a wealth of free dating sites to help you find someone to spend your days and evenings with where ever you are based. WeLoveDates have dating sites spanning 7 different countries, catering to all kinds of daters, whether you’re a single parent, a divorcee, want partners of a particular faith or are retired and looking for companionship. There’s a date out there for everyone!

If you’re struggling for inspiration, here are some Autumn Date ideas to get you started.

Woodland Hikes / Walks

There is something really romantic about walking hand in hand through the woods with your date when the leaves start to change colour. Think wellies, crunchy leaves underfoot and stopping off to get a hot drink to warm your hands. Remember that however far you walk on the way out, you need to walk back, so don’t go too far – there is nothing attractive about blisters!

Pumpkin / Jack O Lantern Carving

Who says Halloween is just for the kids? A great way to bond with your date is to have a pumpkin carving challenge. Who can create the best one? Not only does this allow you to get a feel for your date’s personality, competitive nature or artistic talent, but this is also sure to cause lots of laughs too.

Go to a football / sports match

If you prefer to watch competitive sports rather than play yourself, why not wrap up warm and head along to a football match. The atmosphere in the stadium is helpful if you’re both feeling a little bit shy, and it’s easy to get affectionate when the celebrations start rolling in!

Pubs with cosy fires

If you fancy being a bit more intimate, some of my favourite ever dates have been a super chilled date as our local bistro pub – think comfy chairs, a relaxed calm vibe and a cracking real fire to hypnotise you both. Once you’ve finished your meal, a snuggle on the sofa talking about the things that make you tick is a great way to get to know someone new.

Movie Night In

Whether it’s horror movies, rom coms or adventure movies that float your boat, get a big warm blanket on the sofa, and big bag of popcorn to share and your tipples of choice and relax. Learning about your dates film preferences and sense of humour is a great way to get to know them better, and on the colder nights is a great way to keep warm!
