We are huge fans of Frugi in this house – not only do they offer some truly stunning designs and unique clothes and products that really stand out, but they are also home to ethically sourced, organic cotton and recycled products that are great for our environment too. Some of our favourite outfits this year have been from the Frugi Spring / Summer collection, so we were super excited to hear about their latest Back to School collection, with a wide range of coordinating outerwear, bags, lunchboxes and accessories to suit every child’s personality this September.

With September’s ‘Back to School’ fast approaching; we’ve been lucky enough to put some of the new Frugi Rain Or Shine Collection through it’s paces and are now confident that whatever the British weather throws at us this Autumn, we’ve got the kids covered!

Eco Friendly Back to School

A really positive trait of the Frugi Back to school range is that all of their outerwear, backpacks, lunch bags & pencil cases have been made from post-consumer recycled materials, including the plastic drinks bottles that are thrown out in your household recycling!

At a time when climate change is really starting to affect us all, it’s great pace of mind to know that the plastic bottles we discard can be shredded and processed into Frugi Flakes, transformed to chips and then spun into strings of Frugi yarn which are then used to create something truly incredible – the fabric for Frugi’s coordinating recycled range.

Frugi Back to School

There are so many beautiful new designs in the AW21 Frugi Back to School range, but for us there was one design in particular that really stood out and that was Rain Or Shine. Not only does the Rain Or Shine design feature a rainbow which is always a big hit with my girls, but an all over print inspired by Sweden’s magical night sky. It really is stunning!

There is currently 20% off the ENTIRE Back to School collection using the code SCHOOL20 – so don’t forget to add your code on checkout here – BACK TO SCHOOL. Look out for the Back to School logo!

Here are the items we love from the range:

Rain Or Shine Jacket

Whether your kids are heading back to school, nursery or a childminders, the Rain Or Shine jacket (made from 100% post consumer recycled polyester)- is ideal to help keep your little one dry during those unexpected showers. With our weather changing from one extreme to the next at short notice, being prepared for every eventuality is recommended!

This super lightweight coat folds up into its own pocket making it really easy to pop into the pushchair, the car or your child’s rucksack when heading out and about.

Pictured on the left above, the Frugi Rain and Shine coat features reflective prints on the front and back (ideal for those darker nights), elasticated cuffs to help keep the rain out and a zip fastening with a guard to protect little chins!

Made from durable water repellent material with fully taped seams and Fluorocarbon free finish to help prevent stains and extend the life of the coat, these durable and portable coats are perfect for forest school, school runs on foot or day trips galore.

Rain or Shine Suit

For younger children, those heading back to nursery, or even toddling on the school runs with older siblings, the Rain Or Shine all in one suit is ideal and perfect for a bit of siblings twinning on the way to school. This lightweight all in one overall suit packs neatly away into their own pocket and comes with a 3 piece hood with fixed peak and elastic to keep every single drip at bay!

With soft hook and loop, popper fastenings and a fab chin guard, an elasticated waist and cuffs for a great fit and fully adjustable / detachable strirrups to hook over your child’s wellington boots, the Rain Or Shine Suit is a great options for those (like Neve) who can not resist jumping in muddy puddles!

Similar to the jacket, the Rain Or Shine suit also comes with a reflective print and pipe detailing, so you can be reassured your child will be visible and safe even on the darkest and dullest of days!

The Rain or Shine suit retails from £42 (currently 20% off with code SCHOOL20)

Globetrotter Satchel

We absolutely love classic retro stye clothing, so instantly fell in love with the coordinating Frugi Globetrotter Satchel with its coordinating Rain or Shine design. Perfect for storing all your child’s essentials, the main pocket has two sections that are big enough to pop A4 books, folders or even a laptop as well as the matching Frugi Pack A Snack Lunch Bag and Crafty Pencil Case, making it the ideal choice for school.

The Globetrotter satchel can also be worn in a variety of ways, either across the body with an adjustable strap, as a backpack with adjustable chest and shoulder straps, or even carried with the simple carry handle. With internal clips, stretchy side pockets and padded back for support, this is a durable, roomy and adaptable rucksacks for all their back to school needs.
