Celebrating National Pet Month with Soggy Doggy

Who doesn’t love Soggy Doggy? The girls have always been huge fans of dogs, even since they were tiny, to the point that on our Summer holiday last year, Neve had a full on melt down because I wouldn’t allow her to take somebody else’s dog home with her from the beach – such a cruel parent I know!!
Whilst we don’t yet have a dog of our own, the girls Aunt and Uncle have recently had a new addition to the family – an adorable little french bull terrier puppy, and Erin in particular is well and truely smitten. I now think it will only be a matter of time before Mike gets his wish and we are welcoming a little puppy of our own.
Having a pet was a HUGE part of my childhood growing up. Having a pet in your family home is a great way to encourage the children to learn about caring for someone they love, feeding them, nurturing them, learning to show affection and providing discipline. Not only do pets absolutely become part of the family, they are great for helping children learn about taking responsibility, and become a friend, confident and calming influence (most of the time at least).

The Soggy Doggy Game
The Soggy Doggy Game is a board game with a difference! Fast paced and fun, children take it in turns to race around the board washing soggy doggy. First Soggy Doggy is placed in the bath at the center of the board, and the bath is topped up with real water. The aim of the game is to guide your piece safely around the board to your dog basket, without getting wet!
Each place on the board has an instruction, either a paw or a bone, and a number which relates to the number of times you need to perform an action. Roll the dice and move around the board. Land on the paw and your need to press the paw button (which showers Soggy Doggy in fresh water!), land on a bone and you need to turn the tap. Watch out though – if the tap turn causes Soggy Doggy to shake, not only will he splash you with water, but you have to go back to the start!!
We played the Soggy Doggy board game with the girls and it was a HUGE hit! Their reaction when Soggy Doggy shook in his bath and splashed them was absolutely priceless!
The Soggy Doggy game is suitable for 2-4 players and recommended for children aged 4 and above.
Soggy Doggy Friends
For a slightly different Soggy Doggy experience, Soggy Doggy Friends are a super cute and fun interactive pet, which walk, make cute puppy sounds, responds to cuddles and even snores when they go to sleep. Little ones will love attaching the little lead to his collar, and taking them for little walks where they really moves across the floor.
Soggy Doggy Friends offer two different characters – Dizzy (brown) and Daisy (pink), and are ideal for siblings to play with together. Soggy Doggy Friends Dizzy and Daisy retail at £14.99 each.
