Creative Lockdown Creations with Stabilo at Home

As strange as it has been being in lockdown and staying at home with two young children, there are times when in the little safety bubble of the four walls of our 3 bed semi I can almost forget what is going on in the world outside and can, for my own sanity perhaps, focus on the here and now – doing activities that capture everyones attention and getting creative with the girls. I have always been a big fan of crafts and making things – we have a big craft box under the stairs full of cardboard, paint, pens and googly eyes ready for when the opportunity presents itself, but for the main, when working our way through normal daily life, it is not something we get to do very often. Suddenly now, whilst trying to balance my own work commitments with childcare and homeschooling, craft has become my saviour again, keeping us all, grown ups and children alike, calm, happy and content.

Stabilo Woodys 3 in 1 PencilsÂ
First up we tried out the Stabilo Woodys – 3 in 1 chunky pencils that are perfect for smaller hands and large enough even for my preschooler to get on board with! With a chunky larger size, they are great for helping little ones learn to apply the correct amount of grip and pressure and teach them how to hold a pencil correctly.
Woodys pencils are a colouring pencil, watercolour and wax crayon all in one, and are great for colouring larger areas faster than you would be able to with a traditional pencil crayon.
They produce really intense colours even on dark surfaces, plastic or glass, and can be used as a wax crayon or to paint with using a water and brush.
The Stabilo Woodys pencils are the ideal kit for painting your own rainbow in the window – a symbol of peace during the lockdown and a sign of positivity for children who are walking past during their daily exercise.
Pen 68 Brush Fibre Tip PensÂ
The Stabilo Pen 68 brush pens are premium fibre tip pens with a brush tip, and are great for adults and children alike. As someone who loves bullet journalling and calligraphy, I loved the fact that you can vary the pressure when using these pens to determine how thick or thin the line will be, and control your up and down strokes.
These pens are ideal for a bit of Mindful colouring for parents, bullet journals, corona lockdown diaries, scrapbooks or other DIY projects!
Made from water based ink, they also have up to 24 hours of dry out protection even when the lid is kept off! If your children are anything like mine, this is a huge positive as I am forever finding discarded pen lids where my youngest is concerned!
I very quickly and easily created this poster for our window, changing the thickness of the brush strokes by simply pressing harder or more lightly to vary the thickness of the text! I then added some of the Glitter TRIO Deco pens (see below) to the edges to add a touch of sparkle!
Stabilo Trio Deco Metallic Fibre Tip PensÂ
The Trio Deco Metallic range are fantastic creative glitter pens that are suitable for creative fans young and old. With 8 varied metallic colours in black, green, turquoise, blue, purple, red, silver and gold, these fibre tip pens have an extra large tip wide of 3mm, making larger areas easier and quicker to colour.
The ink applies quickly to both light and dark surfaces, even on black card, making them perfect for creative card decoration, sending cards to loved ones or decorating gifts!
