Erin’s 4th Birthday Princess Party
When Erin turned four in mid June, there was only one theme choice when itĀ came to planning her party. Princesses. This girl pretty much lives, eats and sleeps all things princess, and has a mini obsession with all things pink, tiaras, pretty dresses and magic. A few weeks haveĀ passed now since the big day (it all went by in a bit of a blur!!) and we have only just about recovered!
For her party we had around 14 childrenĀ (and their associated parents!) round to a garden party – with visitors being between the ages of 9 months and 7 years. Where as normally we have to worry about rain (most years have been a complete wash out!), this year we had the opposite problem. ItĀ was HOT. Almost TOO HOT. We just so happened to pick the hottest day of the entire year so far, and as such, a bouncy castle we had ordered was almost tooĀ boiling to use (we had to turn it round half way through the day to follow the sun!)
Party Pieces very kindly gave us some of their Princesses range of party suppliesĀ and accessories to use on the day – here’s how it went down with our little guests!
Party Pieces Princess Perfection Range
Whilst I love the Disney princesses (as does Erin!), I wanted to avoid having a full Disney theme to Erin’s party, so instead opted for the Princess Perfection range – a more subtle baby pink and white theme with sparkly silver Princess writing. The range included plates, napkins and cups, and in my opinion was far more classy for a children’s party!
Most of the items in the range came in packets of 8, but could easily be mixed with plain white plates to increase the quantity without doubling the cost.
Cake Toppers
My sister very kindly helped make cupcakes on the day – baking isĀ NOT my forte and I had struggled enough to make an Elsa princess cake without having to think about smaller ones too! Erin absolutely loved these tulle ballerina styleĀ Tutu and PomPom Picks cake toppers thatĀ we simply popped into the icing when they were ready to be served. They looked fab laid out on the table (although it was so hot we couldn’t keep them out for long!). Even Erin’s Elsa cake started to melt in the heat of the sun!
Whilst the adults got to eat their lunch from the fab princess Plates and cups, the childrenĀ ate their lunch in these adorable Princess Carriages Party Food Trays! How else would the birthday royalty eat her lunch?!
These cardboard platters were really easy to construct, and had room for all the children’s favourite foods inside, as well as a pouch for crisps and their very own cup with straw. They come in packs of 8, so we had a couple left over, and Erin has been eating her dinner out of them all week!
The Party Bags
For the party bags, we opted for these adorable Princess Perfection Party Bags – small pink gift bags with a silver sticker to hold them closed. Inside we placed a Princess Tiara and some stickers, along with a piece of cake and topped off with their very own fairy wand šĀ We also gave a book to each child as part of their party bag.
Photo booth
I am not embarrassed to admit that I personally have a bit of an obsession with photobooths, and as such we have had some photobooth props at every single one of Erin’s birthday parties so far! This year, we opted for a combination of photobooth props including super hero and princess accessories.
I fell in love with this lifesize princess stand inĀ photobooth, which magically transformed the children into Cinderella and Belle. The stand in went down a storm as the children took it in turns to stand on the little stools we had placed behind it!
Overall, we had an absolutely fantastic day and were over the moon with the accessories and party supplies we received. There are ranges at Party Pieces to suit literally every single theme possible, from super heros to princesses, baby showers to birthdays.
You can learn more about the full range of Party AccessoriesĀ on theĀ Party Pieces website.
Disclosure – I was sent a range of Princess products from Party Pieces free of charge for the purpose of this review, however all thoughts and opinions were my own.
