Father’s Day Gift Ideas 2019

Father’s Day Gift Ideas 2019
Father’s Day is fast approaching, and I have to say, I really love celebrating Father’s Day, both with my own Dad and Mike who is a fantastic Dad to the girls. Both Neve and Erin absolutely dote on Mike, and whenever they feel upset or poorly, or quite simply need a hero, they always gravitate straight towards him. It’s lovely to see how their relationships have formed as the girls have got older; and how he can quickly switch from carnage Dad (think playfights, tig and tickling) to superhero dad (carrying tired legs, nursing a grazed knee, and stopping tears) in minutes.
When it comes to finding the perfect gift for Father’s Day, I appreciate that every Dad is different, but hopefully I’ve covered all bases with this Father’s Day gift guide full of suggestions for every kind of Dad!
For the Dad who fancies a tipple

I am yet to meet a Dad who doesn’t like a nice cool beer in the Summer, but with so many varieties of beers, ales and lagers to choose from, it can be difficult to know which ones are going to wet their whistle! For something a little different, the Brewery and Beer Tasting Day experience from Red Letter Days is a really fun way of allowing them to create the beer they like the taste of best! Each of these specially selected UK beer breweries is based in a scenic location and produces a fine range of their very own signature ales. A hands-on experience is ideal for any fan of real ale and provides a great introduction to the subtle art of brewing beer. Under the guidance of an in-house expert, Dad can learn to mash in, boil, ferment and condition his very own ale whilst picking up priceless tips and beer brewing advice. Each venue offers warm refreshments, a hearty lunch and most importantly, a beer sampling session and a special gift pack or mini cask of specialty beer to enjoy at home.

Gin also appears to have become far more popular with men and women alike in recent months and for the real gin counisseur, this boutique craft watercress gin in the Twisted Nose range from Winchester Distillery tastes amazing with a good tonic and a twist of grapefruit or Dad can mix with Vermouth for a must have martini! Available at Yumbles

For the Dad’s who prefer to pour themselves a classic glass of wine then you can’t go wrong with a bottle of Marques de Caceres. The perfect barbeque partner, leading Spanish Rioja brand Marques de Cacares has a range of wines to suit every preference, from aromatic Verdejo White, rich and dry Blanco White, and the floral Rosado Rose, ideal for accompanying fish, as well as the spicy Crianza the perfect pairing for bbq burgers and steaks. Available at all leading supermarkets at around £8/9 RRP.

For the car enthusiast

Mike recently had a new car, and has tried to have a no food policy, because well – anyone with a car and toddlers will know just how quickly the seats get covered in crumbs! Just in case he does succumb to a packet of crisps or two, this nifty Hoover car vaccuum can quickly and easily get his car looking it’s best again, just in time for the monthly sales meeting where he picks up his boss! Designed for comfort and use the Jovis Plus Car Vaccuum plugs into the AC/DC power supply in your car and has lots of tools to help him reach all those awkward and hard to reach areas of his car.

Right up Mike’s street, and for something a little special for car enthusiasts, you can’t really go wrong with the Silverstone driving thrill experience from buyagift.com – Undoubtedly an unforgettable experience, you can choose from three sleek and speedy cars that call the world-famous Silverstone racetrack home. Slink into the cockpit of an aerodynamic racing single-seater, keeping your feet close to the ground as you become a blur racing round the track, unleash the power of 007 with the stunning Aston Martin V8 Vantage, or feel the ferocious force of the Ferrari 400 BHP V8 F430 Coupe. There isn’t a better place to let out your inner Jenson Button, under the guidance of a professional racing driver, than the home of Formula One and you can relive it all over again as there are plenty of opportunities to take pictures and videos
