Our NSPCC #PicnicParty

Our NSPCC #PicnicParty

This Summer, we are taking part in the NSPCC In the Night Garden Picnic Party – and I would like to encourage you to get your friends together and get involved too.

The NSPCC is the UK’s leading children’s charity and over recent months, has been the power behind some fantastic campaigns, including the Speak Out, Stay Safe programme in schools, and of course Childline. The Speak Out, Stay Safe campaign offered at no cost to schools, will ensure all children aged 5-11 learn essential safeguarding information in a lively, interactive and memorable way, including recognising the signs of abuse, as well as how to protect themselves and get help. NSPCC rely wholy on donations from the general public, without which, they would not be able to continue their amazing work supporting young people during the most vulnerable times in their life.

We were recently asked if we wanted to take part in the In the Night Garden #Picnic Party to raise funds for the NSPCC. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to invite some friends round for a chin wag and bite to eat, whilst the children can play and burn off some excess energy!

My girls are also huge In The Night Garden fans (having been to In The Night Garden live just this weekend) and with the fab In the Night Garden goodies up for grabs at set fundraising milestones, I can treat the girls at the same time as raising money for a fantastic cause.

We will be hosting our #PicnicParty on the 20th August, and and would love for you to join in by hosting your own!

To get involved, simply host your own #PicnicParty on the 20th August – get out your picnic blankets, bring out the nibbles and ask your friends to donate £5 for the privilege, and you will be well on your way to meeting your fundraising target.

For every fundraising milestone you meet, you can get your hands on a number of fantastic In the Night Garden goodies including magazines, books, soft toys and blankets.

To learn more simply sign up for your FREE fundraising pack which includes lots of ideas for a tip top Picnic Party.

Don’t forget to spread the word, and share your #PicnicParty pics on Facebook! 🙂

*Update – we have raised £20 so far! Reached our first Milestone!! We now have raised enough to get an In the Night Garden magazine and some thankyou cards. We are hoping to reach £75 as the rest of our donations come in!

I have big respect for NSPCC especially if they are putting campaigns in schools so children can recognize the signs of abuse. I wish they could have had that in my school!

That sounds like an amazing organization to be a part of. We have a few organizations over here in the U.S but yours sounds like they are able to do more for the kids, especially in schools:)

A great initiative to support a very worthy charity. My kids had the talk from the NSPCC at school. They do such good work.
