Ready for Winter with Protest Apparel

I absolutely love the Winter months. Whilst I enjoy the long sunny days and the warm breezes of Summer, there is something really special about the seasons starting to change, the nights getting darker, the colours of Autumn leaves and the rustling and crunching beneath your feet. I absolutely love changing out my wardrobe when the first signs of Autumn arrive, packing away all my summer dresses and scrappy tops and bringing out the jumpers, hoodies and sweatshirts. I love wrapping up warm for crisp sunny walks with my family, red noses and rosy cheeks coming home to a steaming hot drink. I LOVE being cozy and I hate being cold! I also opt for comfort over and above everything else, but if I am lucky enough clothes that combine comfort and style, then I am definitely popped firmly into my happy place!

I have for a long time been a big fan of Protest apparel and clothing, having worked with them previously in Spring and worn a few of their summer range playsuits and vest tops during the warmer months at home in 2020. Protest have recently just launched their streetwear and snow wear collections for 2020/21 and this season’s range definitely do not disappoint!

We were gifted a few items from the Protest Streetwear range and I absolutely love them all! No doubt these will be getting a fair bit of wear this Autumn and Winter.

Whether it’s chilling out and lounging around at home or being more active exploring on Autumn and Winter walks, the Protest Streetwear range of Autumn and Winter has a fab variety of unique sweatshirts, hoodies, zip ups, body warmers and lightweight jackets, as well as thicker Winter jackets, snow and skiwear.

I first of all fell in love with the Protest Nxg Leone Sweatshirt which comes in my favourite shade of mint green. It’s all too easy to get dull and dark in the winter months, but I prefer to add a bit of fresh and bright colour to my wardrobe.

With an 80s vibe, these sweatshirts are great for active women whilst retaining that urban feel. They are really thick and super cosy and warm inside without feeling too bulky or restrictive. Protests heavy weight fleeces, hoodies and jackets all come with unique detailing such as the animal print design above, and have subtle branded detail like the leather cuff with logo which make them just that little bit different.

For the days where its bright and light yet there is a strong chill in the air, something like the Protest Nxg Shine Zip Up pictured below is PERFECT. Available in 3 different colours, I opted for the Very Grape (purple). Again, made from heavy weight material, this zip up top comes with a double layer extra high collar that can be doubled over to really protect your neck and chest from the elements! It has a thick drawstring and leather branded detail at the side of the waist, zip pull and top of the arm.

Most importantly (and something which I like to find in pretty much every piece of clothing I own!) both have pockets – so no cold fingers when embracing the great outdoors!
