Save £’s on your Festive Beauty Looks with Cosmetify

Party season is fast approaching, and it is normally the time when I treat myself to some new make up products in order to create some fun festive beauty and make up looks. It’s rare I get to dress up and have a busy social life, so I like to make the most of it, creating a more heavy smokey eye and wearing more make up than I would normally do so during the day. I also like to treat friends and family to some of their favourite make up and perfume brands as Christmas gifts – but we’ve all been there. You pop to the shops, buy the perfume or mascara that you have on your shopping list, and then 10 minutes later you see it on offer in another store for £10 cheaper. It’s frustrating. Unless you have loads of time on your hands (which lets face it, most of us parents at Christmas don’t!) then it is really hard to know whether the price that your seeing in front of you is really a good deal, or whether you are missing out on something even better just around the corner!
I recently heard of Cosmetify.com – a quick and simple way to make beauty and perfume purchases all under one roof, comparing prices, and most importantly saving yourself lots of money on RRP’s in the process!
Cosmetify have a huge range of products, 216,650 at latest count to be precise, including make up, skincare, fragrance and gift sets, with a whole host of luxury, leading and trending brands including Clinuque, NARS, Fenty Beauty, Benefit, Revolution and Weleda to name but a few.
Cosmetify promises to save you time AND money by comparing prices with their retailers and automatically selecting the cheapest to display on their site. They also quickly highlight any delivery charges or special deals associated with each product and you can even sign up for price alerts so that you get notified when an item you love has got a new lower price. If you have a product you simply cant live without, this means you can quickly and easily stock up when the price is at its best, ensuring you never run out and end up restricted to paying a premium price.
Because Cosmetify aggregate products from 138 different beauty retailers, including Superdrug, Boots, All Beauty, Feel Unique and John Lewis, you also have a far better chance of finding the item that you need, even when many places are out of stock! No more traipsing round high street stores desperately trying to find the one item on your wishlist!
Our Experience of Cosmetify
I recently put Cosmetify to the test to see how some of my favourite products faired up, and the discounts were pretty impressive.
Firstly, I LOVE John Paul Gautier Eau de Parfum, which has a really fresh and feminine scent with undertones of blood orange and mandarin as well as gardenia, honey and jasmine. Not only is the bottle itself super stylish and fun, but this is my go to scent, and I am literally on my last millimetre in my current bottle! The 50ml bottle normally retails at around £67, but looking on Cosmetify, I was able to select the deal from Superdrug, who currently have it on offer at 36% off, saving me a HUGE £23.50 on my purchase. I could also quickly and easily see that Superdrug offer FREE delivery or a click and collect option from my local store. Result! The prices are checked all day long I can see that this price was correct as of an hour ago, so if I choose this option, I can be pretty certain that I really have got the best price.
Next I love Benefit products, and looking through at my most regular purchases, including That Gal and They’re Real – Cosmetify was able to show me the best price saving around 20-30% each time. The stores that came out the cheapest weren’t ones I would have naturally gone to (Allbeauty and Look Fantastic) so these were savings that I definitely wouldn’t have discovered on my own.
It is worth noting that if you are ordering a number of products, that they may all come delivered individually (as from different retailers) and at the point of writing I am still waiting for one of my items to arrive. With different lead times from different retailers, there is therefore no guarentee you will receive them all at the same time. I also had one incorrect item delivered (a smaller sized bottle of Eau de Parfum from the one I ordered). I raised this with Cosmetify who quickly resolved the issue by reimbursing me for the difference in price. I therefore wasn’t out of pocket, but did end up with less perfume than I ordered. That said, mistakes happen and it appears this was an error from the retailers side, which had it not been so close to Christmas could probably have been exchanged.
Overall, I think Cosmetify is a great idea, particularly if you are buying a lot of make up as the price savings can really add up! The best part about saving the money is that I can treat myself to something extra too (and technically it’s free!) although I appreciate that mentality is the reason I am always broke!!
