Wedding Shoes Every Lady Should Have in Her Closet

Weddings are a special time – a time to celebrate that a friend or family member is getting married and a time to celebrate someone else starting a new chapter in their lives. Weddings are also a time for fashion. They are a time to dust off that gown or dress you have been waiting to wear all year, as well as strut the perfect pair of shoes. Although it is okay to focus on the hair, nails, and accessories, the wrong pair of shoes can mess up your outfit. So, we are going to look at 4 wedding shoes that all ladies should own so they can pick the right one no matter the type of wedding they are invited to.

Short and High Heels

Heels are an obvious choice for lots of different reasons. They are elegant, classy, and go with almost all types of outfits and accessories. However, there are occasions where you might have to choose between short and high heels. Short heels, which are typically shorter than 1.5 inches high, are great for ladies who need a balance between style and comfort. They also offer better additional support than higher heels and match most dresses and gowns. If you are looking for heels that offer a balance between comfort, elegance, and style, shorter heels are the best option for you.

You can call them stilettos, pumps, or high heels, but the fact is that high heels are the perfect option for ladies who need the height and to turn heads. High heels are often reserved for more upscale and sophisticated events. The one thing every lady should know, however, is that high heels come with several drawbacks, the most common one being pain.

That said, there are several things you can do to ease the pain. These can include using sole pads before putting on the high heels, taping your third and fourth toes together, or picking the right shoe size and shape. They may look great, but high heels are not for everyone. So, if you are invited to a high-end wedding and are not used to wearing high heels, choose shorter heels instead.

Flats

Admittedly, flats are usually not the first types of shoes most ladies think of when they think about wedding shoes, but they are still a great option. Depending on the type of wedding, especially in cases where there is no strict dress code, flats can come in very handy. Flats have two major advantages over most other types of shoes you might consider for a wedding; they are extremely comfortable, and they come in lots of designs to suit different dresses, gowns, and dressing styles. If you are in the market for some elegant flats, you can choose some from the large collection of Valentino Shoes at SSENSE.

Flats are also exceptionally functional, and if you suffer from back pain or are not yet confident about wearing heels, they are the perfect option. It is also easy to cover up the fact that you are wearing flats using a long dress.

Wedges

Wedges are similar to flats in that they are very well suited to those who want comfortable shoes. Wedges have one main downside in that they are seen by a lot of people as a childish choice, but that should not be the case. Wedges are great for weddings that take place outdoors, especially in the spring. This is because they provide excellent support and do not dig into the dirt while being fashionable enough for most women to pull them off.

If you want to wear a shorter dress during a wedding, wedges are great if you can find some that complement the dress. Wedges also come in a variety of heel heights so you can find a pair with a height you are comfortable with. Once you find comfortable wedges that are of the right height, you do not have to be worried about aching feet should you decide to hit the dance floor for a few hours.

Boots

Much like flats, boots are not the first choice for most ladies, but there are situations where they come in handy. If you get invited to a wedding out in the country, you will be glad that you have some boots in your closet if your friend informs you these are the shoes of choice. Boots, especially cowboy boots, have a certain rustic charm that most other types of shoes just do not. Wearing boots to a wedding requires a lot of commitment to ensure your outfit fits the profile so that they do not
end up looking out of place.

Choosing the types of shoes to wear to a wedding is sometimes out of your control, so it is always good to be prepared in case you are asked to wear a specific type of show. Additionally, you can have a good pair of shoes that lets you enjoy the wedding and dance the night away without worrying about blisters, pains, and aches.
