What’s your post-lockdown look?

What’s your post-lockdown look?

*This is a collaborative post

At the start of 2020, after a pretty cold and harsh Winter, I was literally counting the days down till Summer. When I thought ahead to the bright and sunny warmer months; I was excited about the prospect of family beach holidays, day trips with the kids and child-free nights out with the girls. I absolutely LOVE summer fashion, clothes and accessories, and love nothing more than being able to pack away the knitwear and cozy jumpers and replace them in my wardrobe with floaty and strappy dresses, sandals, tops and skirts.

The only problem is, 2020 didn’t turn out quite the way any of us planned, March, April, May and June got lost in a blur of breaking news alerts and lockdown and suddenly the Summer months are upon us – with many of those wonderful plans still placed on hold. Like many of us across the globe ‘loungewear’ has become our staple and on some days, even the prospect of getting out of our PJS felt a little bit too much like hard work.

Lockdown is slowly starting to ease, and I feel a little like a hibernating bear emerging from a deep sleep. It’s refreshing to be able to start googling wholesale clothing and latest women’s trends and put some thought into my post lockdown look!

Post Lockdown Fashion with J5Fashion

In order to find some inspiration on the new season fashion, I have been browsing through J5Fashion.com, home of wholesale men and women’s clothing. Here’s what you need to be looking out for this Summer for your post-lockdown look.

Playsuits and Jump Suits

If you’re still looking for the comfort of shorts or jeans but with a more feminine summer feel, playsuits and jumpsuits are ideal. Not only do they offer you the freedom to run around and clamber around after the kids, but they are lightweight and less restrictive too. Bandeau playsuits are set to be really popular this Summer, with the ability to show off your shoulder and neckline (and hopefully catch some rays of sunshine too).

Printed Shorts

If you love your pair of denim hem shorts but want to mix things up a bit this Summer, printed and embroidered shorts are a great way to brighten up your wardrobe whilst maintaining some sense of familiarity. Think bright bold graffiti style designs, teamed up with a basic tank or tee (and a mask most likely!), and you are ready for whatever socially distanced day out lies ahead.

Cycling Shorts

If you’re uncomfortable showing off too much skin (particularly when your skins not seen the light of day for a while!), you’ll be relieved to know that cycling shorts are also set to be big this season! Whilst the concept of cycling shorts might make you think of PE lessons back in the 90s or something you’d wear for your couch to 5k, think more like longer length denim cycling shorts, high waisted cycling shorts and sets with shorts and matching tee. Bold and bright colours and coordinated items are a must.

Use J5Fashion for inspiration

If you’re unsure yet about your lockdown look, and feel like you haven’t got a clue where to start why not:

  • Check out some wholesale fashion websites such as J5Fashion
  • Browse through fashion magazines for inspiration (many magazines you can get free online via your local library)
  • Keep an eye on fashion blogger and influencer accounts for their perspective and tips on how to pull off your look!

One things for sure, this new normal is going to take a while to get used to and whilst it might not be the Summer I initially imagined, I hope that I can at least get some of my old me back and get used to getting out and about!
