Air Brush Plush Neon Bucket Review

Air Brush Plush Neon Bucket Review

This is a collaborarive post

My girls love craft activities, so every Christmas I try and treat them to something creative that will keep them entertained during the school holidays. We recently came across the range of Air Brush Neon toys – offering the perfect combination of creative fun and cute, cuddly toys. With a reusable design that can be washed and created time and time again, we decided to put them to the test. Here’s our full verdict.

What’s in the box?

The Air Brush Plush Neon Bucket includes:

  • One cute plush character (in a choice of unicorn, koala or narwhal).
  • Sheet of stencils (peel off and reuse)
  • One set of four neon pens
  • Spray tool

Our first impressions of the Air Brush Plush

The girls were really excited to start bringing their airbrush creations to life. We opted for the Panda character and with Neve being Panda obsessed, he was always going to be a huge hit.

The design is mostly white (a blank canvas for the airbrushing), but we loved the fluffy purple panda ears, cheeky expression and large twinkly eyes. The plush also felt high quality, soft and cuddly and was the perfect size for our 8 year old.

Our Air Brush Plush review

We found the Air Brush Plush really easy to create. For parents – it’s worth mentioning that the airbrush tool can create a bit of mess – especially with enthusiastic use. While they are washable and unlikely to stain, I recommend popping down a tablecloth or, like us, using a big sheet of cardboard to protect your countertop.

The set comes with a large sheet of stencils in lots of different shapes and sizes which are sticky but have the potential to be reused multiple times. The girls found the hardest part was deciding where to place their stencils to create their favourite look. Before spraying, it was super easy to change their mind and relocate the stickers, which they did a few times until they were completely happy with their design.

We found the instructions clear and easy to follow. The air brush tool was simple to piece together, simply inserting the pen of choice into the tube part of the tool and adding the squidgy rubber press to the bottom. Once in, a few pumps was all that was needed to start the spray flowing. The girls loved seeing how their creations were turning out, and despite being felt tip pens, the colours were really bright and vivid, as you can see in the pics below.

The finished effect looked great and from a parent’s perspective, I was really pleased to see that the colour didn’t come off easily or end up over the girls’ hands when cuddled. The girls loved changing the boldness of the spray depending on how close they held the tool.

The best part about the Air Brush Plush is that despite the budget friendly price tag, it can be used time and time again. The whole plush can be popped in the washing machine to remove the design, restoring him to his former glory so he can be painted again. The stencils can also be wiped clean with a dettol wipe and stuck back on to the sheet ready for the next time the kids want to play.

Overall, I think the Air Brush Plush makes a great, easy to use stocking filler for creative kids aged six years plus.
