Alternative Easter Gift Guide 2020
AD – This post features press samples
As a family, Easter is one of our absolute favourite times of year. We dress up, the girls decorate Easter bonnets, we have Easter egg trails in the fresh outdoors, eat a LOT of chocolate, but most importantly we spend some real quality time together. I will be totally honest here that at the time of planning my Easter gift guide for the blog, things in the world were a whole lot different! As a blogger, we plan our content way way in advance, so in January, creating a low down of the best chocolate alternative gifts for Easter seemed like a really good idea at the time!
Due to the fact that many of the shops are now closed, getting hold of some of these items may be a bit tricky – however, fear not! Some of the lovely brands I have worked with for this post have offered a prize for a giveaway so that one lucky reader can still get their hands on one. Whilst granted delivery may be slower than normal, these would make great gifts for a child who’s Easter (or birthday!) hasn’t ended up being quite the way they planned it! I hope that goes someway at least to helping us bring back a bit of normality in an otherwise crazy time.
Haribo Easter Sweet BoxesÂ
Like most youngsters, my girls love a bit of chocolate, but as there seems to be a whole host of chocolate based treats in the shops at Easter, sometimes its nice to have a sweet alternative! The girls’ faces below mean that not many words are necessary to explain how much of a hit these were!! This Easter, Haribo have launches a fab range of Easter sweet boxes including Bunny and Friends and Chick N Mix filled with lots of yummy Harino sweets – including my favourite kind of egg! With most supermarkets still having decent Easter stock – you should still be able to get your hands on some of these!
Peter Rabbit ToysÂ
The Peter Rabbit 2 movie may have been delayed, but when it comes to an Easter gift, you can’t get much better than this adorable bunny and his pals. For soft and cuddly Beatrix Potter toys, from Peter Rabbit to Benjamin Bunny, Flopsy, Gemima Puddle Duck and Mrs Tiggy Winkle, Enesco is the best place to start, who sell a fab range of super soft plush Beatrix Potter Characters from GUND.
At then point of publication, they are sadly closed due to the government lockdown, but have very kindly offered a Peter Rabbit plush and moneybox to giveaway to one lucky winner!
