How many Squishmallows are there?
At the time of writing, there are over 1000 Squishmallow characters to collect, so whilst these collectible toys aren’t one where you can aim to collect them all, you can certainly expect to amass quite the collection. Some Squishmallows are also now retired or discontinued, meaning they have a good resale value on sites like eBay and vinted.
What Squishmallow themes are there?
Squishmallows are available in a wide range of themes including seasonal styles, limited edition Squishmallows and Exclusive Squishmallows that you can only get your hands on at specific retailers. If you’re new to the Squishmallows world, you can pick up anything from animal Squishmallows to Fruit Squishmallows, Disney Squishmallows and much much more. The most popular Squishmallows tend to be the limited edition brands, Disney / Marvel characters or specific animals including the Axolotl and Turtle squishmallows.
What Squishmallow sizes are there?
Squishmallows come in a range of sizes including small, medium and large sizes. The most common Squishmallow sizes are 7.5 inches / 18cm, 12 inches / 30cm, 16 inches / 40cm and 20 inches / 50cm, with the smaller sizes starting at around £9.
Aren’t Squishmallows just a toy?
You’d be forgiven for wondering why you’re paying so much for what on the surface looks just like a regular soft toy or plush. However, Squishmallow isnt just a toy. Squishmallows are incredibly squishy (clue’s in the name). The most popular Squishmallows are not only are they super comfortable to lie on and cuddle, but they are great for lounging around with when gaming, reading or chilling at the end of the day. They come in a range of sizes, from small 8 inch Squishmallows through to jumbo Squishmallows which measure 20 inches or even more!
Where can I buy Squishmallows?
Squishmallows are available at a number of retailers in the UK including Amazon, The Entertainer, Claires Argos and Smyths Toys. Some of the best Squishmallows are exclusive to Smyths and Claires so you won’t find them anywhere else. You can also buy popular Squishmallows at Costco if you are a member (unfortunately Costco Squishmallows aren’t available to buy online).
Are there any cheaper alternatives to Squishmallows?
Yes, there are a few alternatives to Squishmallows, specifically the Ty Squish-a-Boos and DreamBeams, both of which make a cheaper alternative to Squishmallows. Ty Squish-a-Boos in particular are particularly affordable in comparison. That said, Squishmallows have developed quite an iconic reputation in the soft collectable plushes space and chances are, your children will not want the Squishmallow alternatives or Squishmallow dupes quite so much. DreamBeams are probably the closest softness to the Squishmallow and the image below is a good example of how cosy they are to cuddle.
Are Squishmallows worth it?
Here at realmumreview.com, my girls have road tested them all – Squishmallows, DreamBeamz and Ty Squish-a-Boos. Whilst they genuinely do love all of them (you can see our review of DreamBeams here) – they have a marked preference for Squishmallows. With really unique designs and a level of softness that is just a bit more squishy and cosy than the rest, they have become somewhat obsessed in recent months, so much so that we have amased quite a Squishmallow collection!
