My Blogging Goals 2018
I recently shared a Review of my 2017 Blogging Goals – overall I am really pleased with my progress in 2017. In just 12 months, I feel I have taken my blog to the next level, and taken Real Mum Reviews from being a part time hobby, to being a part time income for me and my family. I am incredibly proud of the hard work and effort I have put into the blog, the majority of which has paid off! 🙂
Now we are on the verge of welcoming 2018, I felt it was time to set myself some new goals for 2018, which I will be linking up to the Blogging Goals Linky where I hope you will share your own.
Social Media Following
I have had some great successes with social media this year with 60% growth overall, however didn’t meet my individual targets. My overall social following at the moment is just over 14k, and I would love to hit 20k by the end of 2018. I am not going to specify individual channel targets, as it is impossible to predict how things are going to pan out! 🙂
Tots Ranking
A new goal for 2018 is to reach the top 100 of the Tots100 blogging ranking. This is a ranking system for all the parenting bloggers in the UK of which there are over 8000. I am currently at 146 – which is my highest ever and something I am incredibly proud of. Even though I am not sure what, if any, benefits come from being in the top 100, this is a personal target that I would love to meet.
Views
I would love to keep growing my views each month throughout 2018, and this may be challenging in January and February as a lot of my traffic has been from product reviews on the run up to Christmas.
Domain Authority
I have to be realistic here, so I am not going to set my aims too high on this one. I would love to have increased my DA further by the end of 2018. I am currently on 35, so reaching 40 would be the dream. If I can grow this a couple of places however I would be over the moon.
Scheduling
Rolling this forward from 2017, I am hoping to become a bit more organised in 2018 and use a social scheduler like social oomph to better promote my posts, in the hope that this will increase my Twitter engagement and my views as a result.
Collaborations
I would love to secure more brand collaborations in 2018. I sometimes worry that my blog name limits me as people think that reviews are all I do, when the reality is I do so much more than that! I would love to secure some higher profile brand work or ambassador roles that go beyond a traditional review or sponsored post. I have no idea how to achieve this other than by hopefully showing brands what I have to offer. We will see! 🙂
Organisation
Finally, I MUST be more organised in 2018. I cannot, and WILL NOT spend another three hours searching for my p60 when it comes to tax return time. This year, I am planning on completing it as soon as the new tax year hits, giving me prior warning of the bill, and time to pay it slowly over the months that follow as opposed to getting one big bill.

Sounds like you’ve got fantastic aims for the year ahead! Good luck to you x
