Keeping Organised With Family Life
This is a collaborative post
Regardless of how big your family is, you need to be able to get through having a hectic life. Life is always hectic, but if you know how to keep organised with family life, you can avoid it feeling like a mess. It’s always easy to keep things chaotic with kids milling around, but it’s not easy to make sure that things are organised.
Keeping it all together can seem like an impossible task, but when you have the right boards from The Board Store and you have lists going, you can make sure that family life is in one piece. The good news is that there are plenty of organisational tips that you need to keep yourself on the straight and narrow. Keeping your family organised is much easier with routines, schedules and chore charts and here are some of the best ways to organise the entire house.
- Use calendars. Whether you sync your online calendars together, or you put paper calendars up for every individual in the house, you need calendars to help you to get to know everyone’s routines. Keeping a calendar with the right stickers can help you to manage everyone’s schedules including your own.
- Create your own command centre. Remember those notice boards we talked about earlier? This is it. This is where the family can update the boards and lists, add things to the calendars and take things away. You can have a whiteboard up to save paper and you can give everyone their own pen color, too, so that they can keep an eye on their own schedule.
- Put together your schedule. You and your partner need a schedule together so that you can make sure that things don’t clash. You can ensure that you don’t end up running off of each other and you can keep your schedules in check. If you have a big family, you can organise things including bathroom and laundry schedules. Believe me – it won’t always be easy but you’ll get there.
- Organise meals and chores. Making a menu for the house is one of the smartest ways to keep on top of your home organisation. You need to make sure that everyone knows when their laundry will be done, and a menu will help you to shop properly, too. If you have laundry schedules going, you’ll know the best time to let everyone know when their clothes will be done.
- Get the older kids involved. If you have kids old enough to do their own chores and their own laundry, then get them on the schedule to pitch in. They live there, too, and they should put in their hand to help. The whole family has to be as involved as possible in keeping things organised and life will be much easier as a result!
Family life is busy, hectic and rushed from time to time. With these tips, you can make your lives as a family so much simpler going forward.
