Dream Seekers Dolls REVIEW

Dream Seekers Dolls REVIEW

AD – These Dream Seekers Dolls were gifted for review

I think over the last year or so its fair to say that nearly all of us have had trouble sleeping – whether that is trouble drifting off to sleep or simply staying asleep, the huge changes in our day to day routines and the fear of the unknown has left all of us feeling lethargic and tired or struggling to get a good night’s sleep.

At the start of the first lockdown, both my girls really struggled with being away from their school and nursery settings. That, combined with scary news reports and not being able too see their friends, left Erin in particular feeling quite anxious and upset, particularly when it came to bedtime and she was left in her room alone. I bought Erin a dreamcatcher for her bedroom – something which I hoped would help her stop having bad dreams or feeling anxious when she headed off to bed and as time passed, it did make a huge difference to how quickly she settled down to sleep.

We recently discovered Dream Seekers – a new range of beautiful ‘rag doll style’ fairies with beautiful wings that are a little like a modern day dream catcher! Instead of capturing children’s bad dreams, the Dream Seeker dolls encourage little ones to share their desires and ambitions with them and inspire them to follow their dreams!

We were lucky enough to receive two of the three dolls to review with the girls and here is what we thought!

What are Dream Seekers?

There are three different Dream Seekers dolls available in the range – Dream Seekers Luna, Dream Seekers Hope and Dream Seekers Bella, all of which come with their own distinct outfit and style based on their own unique dreams.

We headed down to our local Smyths Superstore to see the full range of Dream Seekers dolls and both of my girls immediately found their favourites.

  • Erin’s favourite was Dream Seekers Luna, who is almost like a ice queen or based on a Frozen theme. She has fluffy white wings and an ice blue outfit combined with long blonde hair.
  • Neve’s pick was Dream Seekers Bella, who has bright pink hair and an adorable spotty tulle pom pom skirt and glittery wings. She comes with removable sneaker style shoes.
  • The third in the range is Dream Seekers Hope who has a distinct rainbow style design – inevitably she has also been added to the wishlist!

How to Dream Seekers Dolls Work?

Every Dream Seeker Doll has a unique “Dream Mark” on their wrist that represents the Dream they Seek and their personality. Children can pick a Dream Seekers doll who follows similar dreams or simply the one who they are drawn to the most.

  • Bella’s dream mark is kindness. She is an animal lover and dreams that all animals will be treated with love and kindness!
  • Luna’s dream mark is passion – Luna is a dancer and will stop at nothing until she reaches her dream! She believes that confidence can help everyone achieve their dreams too.
  • Hope’s dream mark is Happiness – Hope is always beaming with colour and positivity and dreams that everyone can find their own rainbow of happiness too!

Our Review

First up, the Dream Seekers dolls are just beautiful. The girls instantly loved their huge big eyes and ‘painted on’ faces, combined with their soft arms and legs and their ability to sit on the edge of a shelf or table.

Each doll comes on its very own display stand, with a secret flap which when lifted contains a space for children to write their dreams, before closing securely back in place.

The Dream Seekers can then sit on the box at night on display, protecting the child’s dreams and helping them get one step closer to achieving them every night when they go to sleep!

Each doll comes with an adorable outfit, hair accessory with long soft hair to brush and style. They also come with a pair of removable shoes that have a small slit at the back, making it easy for small hands to place on and off her feet as required.

What the girls LOVED about Dream Seekers

The Dream Seekers dolls have been a huge hit with both girls (4 and 7) and have been both displayed and played with regularly.

The girls loved the sweet little outfits and removable shoes, as well as styling the long hair with its included a sparkly hair accessory. All the dolls have a soft body and limbs so are perfect for cuddling – making an ideal road trip companion in the car.

As a parent, I love the fact that these dolls encourage children to follow their passions and dreams and apart from some small pieces on the packaging – there is no plastic in sight! The box can be used as part of the display which reduces the amount of recycling that is required as soon as the item is unboxed.

The Dream Seekers dolls retail at £19.99 each and I felt this was relatively good value for money. You can check out the full range of Dream Seekers dolls at Smyths Toys now.
