Another week has flown by, and I am back to join in with Living Arrows, the Linky from What the Redhead Said which is all about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday Donna shares some photos from her week and invites others to do the same on her linky.

This week we took my daughter Neve to the park for the first time. At just over 4 months, its pretty terrible that I hadn’t taken her sooner, but with my hospital stay, the cold weather and one thing or another, we simply hadn’t got around to it.

Erin is LOVING being a big sister and was super excited to take Neve on to the swings. It was freezing cold, so we got Neve wrapped up really warm in a big snow suit, so much so that she looked like a little Michelin man! We headed down to our local park to give her that very first swing experience! I have to admit I was a little excited to see her reaction! 🙂

At first she was a little tentative, with a slightly confused face and a furrowed brow, but after a few minutes that cheeky smile appeared and she really enjoyed being pushed backwards and forwards by her sister! 🙂

We have also been testing out some play mats this week, and I captured a moment of sisterly love between these two, when Erin lay on the floor next to Neve as they looked up into  the little mirror at their reflections. I hope they play this nicely together forever! 🙂

See you next week for another Living Arrows! 🙂
