If there’s one piece of advice I would give to parents who’s children are starting school or preschool this year it would be to label EVERYTHING. Clothes labels, lunchbox labels, school shoes labels. Literally everything. I completely underestimated the amount of stuff a 5-year-old can lose, and after learning the hard way; having to rummage through lost property every other week or replace multiple misplaced cups and bottles, I started to label everything in sight.
Personalised name labels are the ideal solution, and help items become something that is quick and easily recognisable, not only by your child themselves but by others who may take it home by accident; helping it get reunited with its rightful owner far sooner, saving a small fortune in the process!
We were recently sent some Stikets Personalised name labels – the online home of personalised name labels, wall stickers and ID bracelets, and have been really impressed with the quality and choice of personalised options available.
*Please note – the stickers come with first name and surname, but as I do not publish the girls surnames on the blog I have edited the surname out from my images, hence the empty space*
We were sent a Stikets Basic Pack of personalised labels which consists of a huge amount (142 in fact) labels of different sizes and shapes, suitable for labelling all kinds of school essentials from book bags to beakers, lunchboxes to school shoes, with iron on labels for clothing and luggage tags for larger items.

The Stikets ordering process
Ordering your personalised name labels / stickers is really very straight forward using the Stikets website. First you choose how you want to personalise your stickers; in my case adding my child’s full name. Should you wish to do so, there is also the option to add a second line of text (or a phone number) to the row below.
You can select from 9 different font styles from classic to italic in nature to suit your preference. There are 20 different colour options to choose from, or you can select from a range of colour combinations or even textured patterns and designs. For Erin it was a no brainer, purple is her favourite colour so this was the obvious choice.
There are absolutely loads of icons to choose from including Seasonal (rainbows, flowers and butterflies), Animals (including flamingos, owls and dolphins), or even Allergies (perfect for children who may have food allergies or need to clearly alert care givers to medical conditions). The choice is huge, and it is great to be able to pick something that represents your child well or that they will clearly be able to look out for on their possessions.
How do you personalise an avatar on Stickets school name labels?
Our favourite option however was the Stickets Twinie – and this is the first time I’ve ever seen something like this for personalised stickers and name labels. Using the online preview tool on the Stikets website, you can create a little icon image of your child, selecting from a range of options for face shape, hairstyle, eyebrows, eye colour, smile, nose, clothing and accessories to make your character look just like them! The likeness for Erin is uncanny and even she was impressed when she saw it!
The Stikets Basic Pack arrived quickly and is presented really well, with everything bundled together in a clearly marked pack so you can quickly and easily find the label / sticker that you need.
From a parent’s perspective, I absolutely loved the addition of the metal name tags with QPR reader on the back. These are ideal for attaching to luggage or rucksacks for school trips and in the event of lost luggage, Stikets act as an intermediary to help get it back to its rightful owner, without the need to give personal information to a stranger.
The footprint labels are ideal for popping on the inside of shoes, and make them much easier to recognise among a pile of shoes after a bouncy castle rampage or PE class.
Stikets was set up by Mothers, and it’s clear that they have put a lot of thought into their labels to make them fit for families. Stikets are high quality, thick stickers which are extremely resistant to dishwasher, washer and dryer use. Delivery is FREE and sent via courier, and at just £19.95 for 142 labels, they work out at just 14p each!!! So much cheaper than replacing all the misplaced items!
Overall we have been really impressed with Stikets. Erin loves her new labelled items and Twinie character and so far she has been coming home with everything that she should be!! Fingers crossed it stays that way!
