Our Overall thoughts

I honestly cannot wait to give this to my Dad. Gift boxed, the newspaper book is a really beautiful gift, and I love the added personalisation that you can do and the personal message we were able to add inside. I’ve not seen my Dad hardly at all this year (he has been shielding), so knowing we may not be physically together on his birthday is hard. I know that he will really enjoy sitting and reading through this, remembering some of the more crucial dates as they are reported in this book.

The quality of the book is really high and I loved reading some of the headlines and seeing how papers have changed over the years. Some of the headlines are shocking (in that they are quite old fashioned and sexist!) and the advertisements are really funny; particularly when you see how much something cost or the kind of products that were getting promoted throughout the years (in this case I saw Spam, A record player, Fry’s Cocoa and Brylcream!)

There is plenty of space in the box for my Dad to add an original paper from the big days itself in 2021, completing his This is Your Life style black book for future generations to see.
