I will be the first to admit, I am far from being a domestic goddess. In fact, I could go so far as to say that cleaning and laundry are my two least favourite parts of being a grown up – particularly with two young daughters who have an innate ability to make mess and dirt far more quickly than I can clean it.

In this house, I have one toddler who is just learning to potty train, and who whilst eating still gets more food over her clothes than in her mouth. I then have Erin, the dancer and wannabe gymnast, who loves nothing more than running, jumping and splashing around outdoors, resulting in grass, mud and tough to remove stains. Our washing basket is always overflowing in a never ending pile, and there is nothing more disheartening and frustrating than having to wash stuff more than once when the stains still remain after the first attempt!

I was recently asked to put the range of ACE Stain removing cleaning products to the test, and thanks to their team, I have a cleaning bundle to giveaway to one lucky reader! Check out how we got on when we put their range through its paces!

We were sent a variety of products from the ACE Stain Removing range including:

ACE for Colours (1 Litre)

ACE for Colours is a fabric Stain remover that helps all colours shine; helping revive bold and vivid colours that may otherwise fade and dull overtime. ACE for colours removes stains whilst ensuring clothes eliminating germs and odours and leaving clothing smelling fresh and clean. ACE for Colours keeps whites bright and revives your bright colours whilst being tough on stains and gentle on clothes. Suitable for even delicate fabrics like silk, wool and cashmere, ACE for Colours helps remove the most common stains such as food, grease, mud, grass, drinks, cosmetics, vegetable oils, and reassuringly for parents – body soils. Ideal for those nappy explosions!

We used ACE for colours when cleaning some of Erin’s brighter clothes including Cerise Pinks, Turquoises and Purples. ACE for colours is very easy to use – simply add a capful into your washing machine along with your usual detergent or for really difficult stains, you can pre treat the fabrics before they go in. You can also use ACE for Colours with hand washing, adding 100ml of ACE with your usual detergent, soaking for an hour and then rinsing thoroughly.

ACE for Whites

We have more than our fair share of ‘whites’ in this house that are actually a little bit grey. Whilst the majority of the time we remember to separate our whites, there have clearly been times when we’ve forgotten, and as a result, most are more off white than the crisp bright white they started with. Some of the more stubborn stains never seem to disappear. Whoever thought it was a good idea to make babygrows and children’s clothes in light colours is beyond me! Both Mike and Erin wear white shirts every day, and all of them could do with a bit of a freshen up. ACE for Whites is specially formulated to help brighten dull whites whilst still being delicate on clothes.

ACE for Whites can be used in the washing machine (added to CL drawer compartment) or again as a pre treatment for particularly stubborn stains. Simply ensure you completely cover the stain, leave for 3 minutes and then wash immediately

ACE for whites can also be used (diluted) to clean and kill germs on kitchen and bathroom surfaces.

Ace Cleaning

ACE Power Moose

ACE Power Moose Active combines the cleaning power of ACE with bleach to keep surfaces and white laundry bright and clean. It has the power of ACE for whites, only this time in a spray! The easy to apply moose with patented technology allows precise application with no drips or splashes and is odour masking.

To use ACE Power Moose, simply spray on the surface and rinse using a moist cloth or sponge. It can also be used to pre treat laundry – simply leave for 5 minutes then wash as normal. We’ve been using ACE Power Moose to clean the kitchen hob, which often gets left with water marks and dirt by the time we’ve finished preparing our evening meals. It is VERY easy to use, and made surfaces so sparkly that it was hard to get a photo without my face in the reflection!

Ace Cleaning

Finally ACE Stain remover – used for more focused treatment of ultra stubborn stains.

One of my favourite dresses of Neve’s (an adorable Ted Baker dress) had got a stubborn stain on the hem that I simply couldn’t shift. I pre treated the fabric with ACE Stain Remover before washing in the normal way, and the stain has completely disappeared! Whilst ACE cant make the dress bigger (sadly Neve is growing far too fast!) it does mean I can hopefully get another wear or two out of it before the Spring!
