Free printables to help make the most of your Yoto
It’s no secret that we’re huge Yoto fans, having enjoyed our Yoto Mini and Yoto player both inside and outside the home for many years with my two daughters.
Despite being a massive hit in most cases, every year after Christmas I see a number of posts from parents who are disappointed with their child’s reaction- finding that they aren’t as excited by it as they’d hoped.
It’s worth remembering it can take a while to warm to the Yoto — especially if they’re used to screen time. Children won’t automatically understand what the Yoto is or how it works, so it takes a bit of time for them to really appreciate the benefits.
I’ve previously shared my Yoto hints and tips to make the most of your Yoto player; which you may find helpful but this post is a little different.
In this post I’ve created three fun Yoto printables to support your child’s listening – and they’re completely free to download. Use them alongside your Yoto experience to add some additional challenges learning and fun.
Yoto card review
After your child has listened to each card, they can complete a Yoto card review with this free printable – independently or with a parent’s help.
Each review has space for your child to record a few lines about the card, their favourite parts and of course, a star rating, as well as getting creative and drawing a picture of the card. I would LOVE to see some of these shared in the Yoto Fans UK group, helping other parents decide which cards might be a hit with their kids.
Yoto reward chart
Want to encourage Yoto use? This fun Yoto Reward Chart printable has 25 stars with a reward of your choice at the end.
Every time they complete a card (or listens to a chapter if older children) they can colour a star on the chart.
Kids will love the anticipation and excitement of reaching the fop. We love yotos succulent friend 😂
Yoto 2025 challenge
As an avid reader, I love taking part in book challenges, encouraging me to read more and explore new genres that I may not have otherwise discovered.
The Yoto 2025 challenge is a free printable that encourages children to listen to 25 different cards throughout the year – each with a different theme.
From cards that name them laugh to cards that introduce another language: simply colour off each square as you’ve listened to a relevant card. Can they colour the entire sheet before the year is out?? You could even write your picks on the back!
If you need to get some more cards to complete your challenge – Check out our picks for the Best Yoto cards for all ages, or Best Yoto cards for older children.
We would love to hear your feedback if you try these with your children!
Happy Yoto’ing!
