REVIEW & GIVEAWAY – Flossi The Flamingo Trunki Suitcase

#AD – Review – Affiliate Links

When it comes to the latest crazes, you can pretty much guarantee that both my daughters will be pretty keen to get involved. First it was Mermaids, then it was Unicorns, and now, where ever I look it seems to be Llamas and Flamingos. Whilst these creatures have obviously been around for a while, all of a sudden it seems like they are EVERYWHERE and the girls can’t get enough of them, always wanting to add a little more Flamingo, or as my youngest likes to call them “Mingos” to her collection!

Trunki have recently launched a brand new LIMITED EDITION Flamingo Trunki case to their wide selection of adorable ride on cases and lovingly named her Flossi. Pale pink in colour with turquoise wheels and beautiful on trend rose gold horns, Flossi comes with a pack full of sparkly stickers to bring their cases to life!

We were recently sent a Flossi to put through her paces! Read on to learn more and for the chance to win one of your own!

About Trunki

About the Flossi the Flamingo Trunki

If you haven’t heard of Trunkis, then I have to ask the question – where exactly have you been?? With over 2 million Trunkis sold worldwide, these children’s ride on suitcases are loved across the globe by children and parents alike.

Trunkis are mini suitcases for children, packed full of innovative and practical features that make travelling with young children far less stressful and a lot more straightforward.

Hand Luggage Approved with all major airlines (including Ryan Air, EasyJet, Thomson and First Choice), Trunki cases are the perfect shape and size to be taken on flights packed full of everything you might need to keep your child entertained as you travel.

What makes Trunki a bit special however, is that not only is it airline sized luggage for children, Trunki is also a ride on case – meaning that if your child gets bored of queuing during check in, or their little legs get worn out walking to their destination, they can have a rest on the saddle, or even be pulled along by a sibling or parent using the innovative tow strap included with their case.

Everything about the Trunki has been tailored to their target audience, with soft rubber trims (to prevent little fingers getting trapped!), easily lockable clasps to keep possessions safe, teddy bear seatbelts to hold items inside securely in place, and a little pouch pocket inside for stashing smaller items safely away. With a large comfy saddle, and horns to hold on to steady their journey, the Trunki is an exciting and fun way for children to travel.

There are 21 different Trunki designs to chose from –  everything from a ladybird to a fire engine, a Gruffalo to a Unicorn, and Flossi the Flamingo is the latest Limited Edition in their range.

Our Experience

As with all Trunkis, the NEW Limited Edition Flossi the Flamingo Trunki is a sturdy and strong case, and whilst lightweight, is very very durable and has been built to withstand a fair bit of knocking around – which lets face it, any ride on case is going to experience. The Trunki also come with a 5 year guarantee which is great for piece of mind.

The Trunki is a bit of a tardis, in that despite being small and compact, there is plenty of space, and room for everything you might need as hand luggage or alternatively clothes and belongings for a weekend away. I loved the addition of the elasticated fastener inside to hold the clothes securely in place.

Each Trunki came with a cute little cut out passport inside the case – something I thought was absolutely adorable, and a great way to record your family travel adventures. There was also a big sheet of stickers inside to help personalise your case. The stickers were slightly padded and thick, so unlike a regular transfer sticker, these were unlikely to peel off quickly. The Flossi Flamingo stickers included lots of large feathers and leaves, flowers, large flamingos, diamonds, watermelon and pineapples and we let the girls have one side each to decorate so that there were no squabbles!

The personalising of the cases was really good fun, with the huge A4 sheet full of squidgy 3D style stickers providing more than enough to fully cover the front and sides of the case. Adding the stickers kept the girls entertained for quite some time, so this would be a great distraction activity to help prevent hyper excitement on the days leading up to your break.

At 5, Erin was strong enough to carry the Flossi Flamingo Trunki herself, where as my youngest way very keen to jump straight on for a little ride.

The Flossi The Flamingo case not only looks great, but is a practical and useful case for family holidays, and we are looking forward to taking her away with us later in the year. Neve in particular can get a bit lazy when it comes to doing any substantial amount of walking, so I know for a fact that this will make our lives much easier and save us from being asked to pick her up every five minutes!

You can see the full range of Trunki designs available as well as other travel accessories on the Trunki website. Prices start at £34.99
