After watching the Secret Life of Pets and Bolt on TV, Erin has suddenly become a bit obsessed with dogs. She decided that she wanted a dog of her own, and ideally one that talks! In a small 3 bed semi, there is no way on god’s earth I am bringing a real dog into this house (and finding a talking one would also be somewhat challenging). We were however, recently given the opportunity to review a Zoomer Zupps Tiny Pup – an interactive, small and far less high maintenance version – so this was a happy compromise! 🙂

Zoomer Zupps Tiny Pup

The Product

Zoomer Zupps are interactive pups that respond to your child’s touch – as your child plays with him by petting his head or press his nose, the pup responds with sweet puppy sounds and his eyes light up. The more you play with him, the happier he becomes, and can even bark I love you!

Each Zoomer Zupps pup (there are 6 different characters) have a unique secret trick – children can aim to collect them all.

Zoomer Zupps are suitable for children aged 4+ and have a RRP of £15 each. They require 3 batteries (included)

Our Experience

We received Biscuit – a purple pup – his secret trick is a lick noise, which Erin founds hilarious.

I will be honest, as a parent, I was a little underwhelmed when I first saw it. It was cute and the noises were fun, but I wasn’t convinced how long it would hold Erin’s attention. How wrong was I!?

Erin couldn’t wait to get him out the box, and quickly discovered the on off switch on his chest. The legs are fully poseable and have wheels, so Erin was able to move his legs and swap him between a standing and sitting position, before wheeling him around on the floor or table. As she patted his head, the big bright eyes light up and little puppy sounds began, including the elusive I love you when he was really happy.

Zoomer Zupps Tiny Pup and girl

Erin opened it around 4pm and didn’t leave it alone all afternoon and evening – even putting him ‘to bed’ in her room using a bib as a blanket!

She loves the interactive side of the toy, and listening to him respond to her actions. He is small enough to take out with us to Nannies house and despite my initial impressions, he holds her attention very well. We have had the toy just over a week now and he is still her new best bud! 🙂

Zoomer Zupps Tiny Pup

Pros:

  • Good value for money despite being small in stature!
  • Cute friendly character
  • Very straight forward to use, no complicated instructions or lessons required.
  • Responds to child’s actions – as opposed to just automatic noises.

Cons:

  • Collectables – the children will want them all!
  • Depending on how long they play with it for, the barking can get a little annoying! 🙂

*Disclosure – We were sent Biscuit (Erin’s new super best friend) free of charge for the purpose of this review, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.*
