AD – Boots gifted for our Hotter Shoes Review

Ever since the Erin started school last September, I always seem to be in a bit of a rush. Mornings in our house are a little hectic to say the least! We all bundle out the house before 8am, and then I drop Neve to nursery and walk Erin to school, before getting back in my car, driving to the central city carpark and then doing a fast speed walk across Solihull to my office, where I finally get to sit down and start my day!

When the colder weather hit us unexpectedly last week I was totally unprepared. Not only did I not even have a proper winter coat, but was still doing the school run rush in PUMPS! No socks, slip on, exposed to the elements pumps, and pretty tatty ones at that.

As a result, when Sarah from Run Jump Scrap and I were invited to review a pair of boots from Hotter’s original range, I was over the moon. I was desperate to find a pair of boots that were flat AND comfortable whilst protecting me from the elements. I couldn’t wait to carry out our Hotter shoes review and Hotter didn’t disappoint!

When choosing boots I have previously always gone for style over substance, and whilst they may have looked beautiful, my choices weren’t always practical – as such, my feet were always a little battered by the end of the day.

If I’m totally honest I had never really thought of Hotter when making my selection. It was only when I met Hotter at BlogOn last September that I realised just how lovely and comfortable their shoes really were. Maybe it’s a sign of growing up, or of being a Mum who is always on the go, but with Hotter I discovered that comfortable shoes don’t have to mean dowdy shoes – you CAN actually have comfort and fashion in equal measure!

We headed along to the Solihull Store, where Jo greeted us and helped us make our selection for the Hotter Shoes Review. Nothing was too much trouble, and bless her heart, she even helped me fix a stain on my leather handbag whilst I was there – now that’s what I call customer service!

It didn’t take me long to chose my pair, and it’s clear to see why the Hotter Mystery boots are a seasonal best seller for Hotter. Hotter Mystery Boots are available in a variety of colours and retailing at £89.99, these classically comfortable boots are part of Hotter’s Originals range and are available in standard or wide fitting, as well as half sizes which is a huge bonus if like me you don’t fit nicely into a standard size.

The boots have a flexible lightweight sole full of air bubbles for extra comfort, as well as a full length side zip for easy access. They are made from high quality leather, with a beautiful ruched detail, making them perfect with a pair skinny jeans or a dress and thick winter tights.

After Sarah made her selection, we put the boots to the test around the Solihull Christmas Market, and I can honestly say they felt so comfortable that even after a full afternoon of traipsing round the shops my feet didn’t feel tired or achey like they normally would.

Hotter shoes review - Hotter Mystery Boots

The thick winter soul on the Hotter Mystery Boots is perfect for stomping through leaves or splashing though puddles (or even tackling snow blizzards like I did on the school run this morning!), and with no heal but a curved sole that doesn’t feel completely flat (I have a slightly raised instep), I was able to walk at a good pace without feeling like my feet were struggling to keep up!

Overall I am over the moon with my Hotter Mystery boots and I would definitely recommend taking a look at their selection if you are after fashion AND comfort this winter. FINALLY I have some school run comfort!
