If you follow my blog regularly, you will have probably learnt by now that I love a good reminisce. I have some very very fond memories from my younger years, and as such, love to look back at old photographs and remember some of my fondest childhood experiences.

A proud child of the 80s, I was a roller skating, tie dye wearing, PJ and Duncan fanatic. I was also a proud Brownie and regularly made my promise to ‘do my best and be true to myself”. Whilst a lot of things have changed since then (including the uniform), Brownies are still as popular as ever – with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts now having over 500,000 active members in the UK and Ireland, and 10 million worldwide, with members spanning 146 countries!

I was recently asked if I would like to be part of the Lottie Blogger Brownie Pack –  a group of bloggers who used to be Brownies or Girl Guides to mark the launch of the new Lottie Brownie Doll, and for me it was a no brainer. I was a proud and committed brownie, and have been known to still use the phrase “Brownies Honour” even now!

Here’s a #browniethrowbackpic from my Brownie days! 🙂

So what is the Lottie Brownie Doll?

An authentic doll that’s true to today’s modern Brownie and inspired by kids, the Lottie Brownie doll comes clad in her entire Brownie uniform – jeans, t-shirt, and the famous yellow tank top and neckerchief. She is a must-have plaything for every young Brownie, and children will be able to bring Brownie pack activities to life with Lottie in their very own home!

The Lottie Brownie Doll is available in all good high street toy stores as well as online at Lottie’s Online Store – is suitable for children aged 3 and above and retails at £18.99 – the doll will be joined later this year by a range of accessories and playsets based on popular Brownie activities and relevant to the Brownie age group.

What I love about the Lottie Brownie Doll (and indeed all the Lottie Dolls) is that unlike many others, the Lottie, Finn and Friends range are based on the physical proportions of a nine-year- old child. They’re mission is to be age appropriate and relatable, whilst empowering children to be themselves, to be imaginative, adventurous and most of all to have fun. Lottie Dolls are a refreshing change and help reinforce the message that girls can be whatever they want to be, and that for me, is something to be celebrated.

We will be reviewing the Lottie Brownie Doll over the next week and I can’t wait to show Erin and tell her all about how I used to be a Brownie. We will also be giving one lucky reader the chance to take home their own Lottie Brownie Doll in our special giveaway – so watch this space!

Did you used to be a Brownie? We’d love to see your #BrownieThrowbackPic on Social Media!
